Come join us to learn more about SNC’s sampling and monitoring work within the McKinnon’s Creek area!
Thursday, June 9, 2016 – 7:00 pm
Navan Memorial Community Centre,
1295 Colonial Rd, Navan, ON
Residents are invited to come out to meet South Nation Conservation (SNC) staff, and project partners to learn more about the work the SNC will be doing.
SNC will be working on various annual monitoring projects as well as updated floodplain studies. This meet and greet will also help identify potential new project sites where property owners may be eligible for up to $15,000 in funding from the Ottawa Rural Clean Water Grants Program.
SNC have already sent out letters to all property owners that might be affected by the projects. Their goal is to sample fish, aquatic insects, culverts, and vegetation along the stream. This information allows the SNC to assess the health of the stream and will help develop a thorough understanding of the risk of flooding in your community.
